Postoperative Respiratory Complications in Patients at Risk for Obstructive Sleep Apnea: A Single-Institution Cohort Study

Authors: Ramachandran SK, Pandit J, Devine S, Thompson A, Shanks A.

The authors found that suspected OSA based on the Perioperative Sleep Apnea Prediction score is independently associated with increased risk of early postoperative respiratory complications. Specific anesthetic agents were also independently associated with early postoperative respiratory complications.

Authors: Lyons MM, Keenan BT, Li J, Khan T, Elkassabany N, Walsh CM1, Williams NN, Pack AI, Gurubhagavatula I
